Had intentions of hitting the woods and my favorite blind this morning.  The wind was just blowing and swirling around, just not a good morning for my spot.
So I leave the Mohawk at home and grabbed my new Hill and quiver and took a walk instead.
I don't normally hunt this area, pretty crowded most of the time, but its only 3 minutes from my house.

Hill Cheetah.  We're starting to get along pretty well

Down into the river bottom, floods quite a bit here.

Took care of this one with one shot

Meramec River

Beavers gettin a start on a future stump target

Back up to the fields

Last time I made up some arrows I did a few FluFlus.  I forgot how much fun they can be.  I would pick a corn stalk about 40 yards away and with the wind blowing so hard I would aim way to the side to see if I could "curve" it to the mark.  Good times.

That's how I spent my New Years morning.  Hope everyone had a good one.

Happy New Year Eric!

What a wonderful way to spend the first of the new year with a Hill longbow and a full quiver!

Shoot straight, Shinken
