Shot my new SBD string and found out it sucked....

Roger,

When you draw the bow and the loop lifts up off the siyah, does it stay completely open like the original served endless loop that was provided with the bow?

Dave, I hadn't even thought of that till you asked but I just went and checked and it does close up a bit. There doesn't appear to be any wear on the loops though.

Thanks for checking. I built a flemish string today for my Turk and the loop twists about one turn when it picks up off the siyah.

Still thinking on it, wondering how to prevent the twist without serving the string down below the loop convergence. I was planning on loading up the string with some wool right below the loop...

Ordered 2 SBD strings from Pierre, one was to short my fault should of measured the old string. Called Pierre about my problem he sent the right string free of charge.SBD strings are all i'll shoot great man to deal with.
