pheasant kill footage

This is some pretty graphic footage of one of my pheasant kills. A well placed arrow can pluck them right out of the air. This is a demonstration of the pheasant spear and what it is capable of doing to a flying pheasant. I am a c+ shooter on a good day and i can kill them. It is not as hard as it looks and im sure most of the poeple on this site could probably outshoot me anyday. Come join us on a hunt if your anywhere near central il

it certainly will work on birds pheasant size and smaller, for other small game we have another product called the rabbit head. i have some footage here that may help you see its effectivenes.

mudd, we have used the rabbit head for frog hunting too, we have a few we made up just for the kids to play around with. we made the wires about 2" longer than the rabbit head wires and let them shoot them in the muck. they work well but the they bent all over the place. and the frogs would get off pretty easy. they had fun none the less

i get several questions about how to prepare for bowhunting pheasant, this is the best practice for me. It gets me in the habit of shooting up in the air and i can shoot an air target this way all day without the aid of another person


i can do this all day. I like it about as well as stump shooting. Rent a helium tank and grab some friends for a day of baloon gambling

they weigh about 150 grain, we have a heavier version one coming out that has double wires and its about 230. They both fly really fast for about 10-12 yards, the heavier version flies a little slower but has more knock down power. After 10 yards or so they both start running out of steam(which helps when you go to get your arrow if you miss) with regular fletch they will go about about 120 yards when you miss. I never miss thuogh. lol  actually,  i have missed the last 18 i have shot at. Im usually a little better than that. Im in a slump!!!! it happens

I use 3 4" fiull length fletches and trim them dow an 1/8 of an inch until I get teh flight characteristics and max range for birds. Typically that is about 7/8"- 1" height on my arrows. Gets me between 65 and 80 yds of flight at 45deg launch angle depending on tip type. Full flu-flus drop it down to about 45-50yds.
