With you and RC chasing critters in the same state I'm surprised there are any left!

Well Done!

You sure you didn't hit her with a throwing axe? Nice story and kill!

again Chris, congrats. I think the most impressive thing about all 9 deer you have taken is that they were shot on public land. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I had to hunt public land where I live, I'm not sure I would. Great job.

Don, I wish that were true, because I really take pride in the ones I kill on public land.  But I've only killed 3 so far this year on public land. The first 3 of the season, actually. The last 6 have been on a small 400 acre tract of land I have access to.

Most of our public land here in Georgia is closed after firearms season comes in, and only open for a few 2 or 3 day hunts for the rest of the season. There are so many gun hunters on those hunts, that I don't mess with it. But archery season is when I do almost all of my hunting on public land.

Congrats!!  Can't hardly imagine seeing nine in a year, let alone kill that many.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
