So I got more curious about the Montec small game heads - wow, they're pricey! Are they that much better than Judos or Hammers?

I'd be curious to hear what other types of heads people have used successfully on ditch parrots. In my experience, they're much tougher to knock down than other game birds.

Yes they are pricey.  I dont drink smoke gamble or go to strip clubs, the outdoors are my only vice.  I am not rich. I cant afford to go out of state that often so I stay close to home and do a lot of bird hunting. I have taken around 60 pheas in flite and witnessed a couple dozen more. There is no perfect head but SGH is by far the best. with my flu flus the arrows travel only 70 yards.  I hunt mostly at preserves with low to moderate cover so arrows are easy to find.  I rarely lose one. They are also devastating on glancing blows (were even a broadhead would have glanced off).  As in this photo

Ha! Love it.     :D

And that was a sincere question. People seem to use a variety of heads for pheasants, so I'm always curious. I've used various small game heads, but never the Montecs. They look wicked. I'll have to pick some up!
