One of the deadest days in the woods this season. NOTHING was moving, I saw a single squirrel all day. Very dissapointing day.

I  had a great night in the stand.  Saw 4 deer (two were bucks) and a coyote.  Heard a few howls after dark also.  Hopefully I can sneak back into my stand in the morning since I left it up.

I never saw a deer yesterday! So much for that on my end!

Saw 2 does I busted... and had full draw on a spike buck.... He was given a pass for yesterday.

Great day of hunting.... Winds were really moving!  :archer:

Well, right after crossing the fence got flashed in the moonlight by four, probably, does...sat in the blind and saw nothing.
Went across the hayfield and still hunted a small patch of woods where I got within about 15 yards from a small bedded down doe.
Course, I didn't know she was there till she bolted out and blew then ran through the woodlot announcing my presence to all...   :banghead:

I was able to get out for a few hours.  One of the best sits I've had in awhile.  Not sure why, maybe it was the lack of pressure I put on myself.  I went out and told myself just to enjoy the afternoon regardless of what I might see.  Well, the sun was shining on my face, the breeze was gentle to non existant and I saw one doe who played around in a retention pond on the property adjoining where I can hunt.  She seemd like she was having fun and paid no attention to my subliminal messages to come over my way.  Had to leave just as the sun was setting and the time was getting good.  Work, ugh...
