Do you guys shoot the 11/32" shafts or the 23/64" & please explain why.
                          Thanks in advance, Phil

23/64th ony because they sell lots off 100 way cheaper, LOL, honest!

Igor

I've shot both and see no differnce in performance. Great shaft 11/32 or 23/64!

11/32" for me.  bought 20 dozen because the quality is the best I had ever seen, so I figured get some while the getting is good.

I get 11/32".  I always like the smallest diameter I can get in the spine I want.

5deer

get 23/64 tapered down 8" to 10"  to 11/32

I only get 11/32, and hunting taper them.

11/32", because that is what all my nocks, field tips, blunts, and broadheads are.

The best shafts available today.  11/32 if I can get them in my spine, otherwise 23/64.

doesn't matter - surewoods are top notch shafts!  they've got good weight, durability and stay straight quite nicely.  i choose 11/32" just cause i do, and for no other reason.   ;)

for lighter holding weight bows, or a lower gpp, or for lots more foc, i'm using hildebrand sitka spruce - another fine wood arrow shaft.     with 190 up front, a typical 29" spruce shaft weighs exactly 550 grains and nearly 20% foc.

Ditto.  I then taper the last 12" down to 5/16".  I've been VERY happy with the grain and straightness. My bows all seem to like them - nice straight flight.

If only they smelled like cedar.

Stumpkiller, just hang a cedar scented air freshner around your neck when you tapering the shafts!    :biglaugh:

I like the 11/32 end tapered to 5/16. I also like barrel tapering the 23/64. If you properly tune any diameter wood arrow it will fly good.

Sure woods are the only wood shafts I have.  Straight grain,  NW  made,  and the owners are great people.   Best wood shaft ever in my book. Burn a cedar scented candle when you fletch them.  The wife will love you for that last part.  I like the 11/32 shafts.

Both. The thicker ones for heavier bows; the thinner ones for lighter bows.

11/32.....because I started with them and they are great and I dont see the need for the extra diameter.  I think its beneficial to keep shaft diameter equal to or lesser than ferrule diameter whenever possible.  Surewood is the best!
