Bow Quiver question

I have always used the basic two piece bow quiver (Eagles Flight, Thunderhorn).

Does a connecting link  like the Totem (EF), Lynx (THorn) or the Great Northern provide more stability on the bow or does it just allow the quiver to be removed with arrows in place?

I have the Great Northern and I don't think the strut adds much to a full quiver, but by the last arrow it will make it quieter and help keep it rigid.  It also allows the arrows to be carried further back - which is generally handier IMHO.  Especially for still-hunting.

I used a two-piece Selway for years and it was rock solid.  Whole different design & approach, though.

The Great Northern is attached to the bow at the leading edge, so the arrows are inside the limbs more.  The Selway is centered on the riser.

I carry 30-1/2" BOP arrows - about 32" long with broadheads.  The only time I hook on a multi-arrow bow quiver anymore is bunny hunting.  Anything that gets the fletching inside the limb arc where it is less apt to catch and make noise was and is appreciated when I am busting through miliflori rose and thorns or "braish" tangles.

Just one of those things I noticed.

My standard is a one arrow quiver - like a Skookum or homemade - so I have one arrow fairly ready when still hunting.  The rest in a side stalker quiver.

The "totem" on an EFA bow quiver will do both. It will add some stability and alow you to remove the quiver as one piece. You can also connect a strap or thong and carry the quiver over the shoulder.
