54", 55@28, Desert Ironwood.

Great bow and I love his takedown system. Easy to put together and rock solid. Also appreciate the excellent packaging, from a lot of bubblewrap to the string having silencers installed, the brass nock set and the string being tied to install with the correct placement. Also included a tin of string wax and a rubber tip protecter. A first class operation.

Big Jim has never delivered anything but first class service to me. Congrats on the new bow. Pics would be nice.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Excellent !! I just got my name on the list for one last week. I believe he makes the best looking bows on the net. Would love to see pics of yours as well as a review etc. Also how long did it take for delivery?

Hey those that do own a thunderchild, what differences can you tell on the shot vs a longer bow? if any?

I just ordered a TC about a week ago from Big Jim and spoke to him about the difference between Buffalo bow and TC. I already own to Buffalo's and wanted to order something different.

Big Jim said the main difference is you can shoot a shorter bow and not compromise on accuracy or velocity. So basically someone who wants a shorter bow for blind use or just plain wants a shorter bow can use it. Jim said he shoots a 56" and his draw legnth is prob 30' or more.

Dave. What wood did you choose etc? I have a short draw of 27" so I believe the 54-56" range is what I'm looking at ordering. He has some amazing choices when it comes to wood.

I will post some pics but don't have the cable with me right now. I think I got on the wait list end of Feb. Had a hard time picking the woods but ended up with all Desert Ironwood.

Great little bows and the T/D is really great for traveling on airplanes, just break it down put it in a bow sock and put it in your suitcase. I have had mine now starting the second season and love it for tree stands and blinds.

I tried the Big Jim Buffalo also but it was not for me. They are not " just longer " version of TChild. Mine is 56" 49@28 and shoots CE 150's and 250's very nicely.

Last years late season in Washington shooting my TC
