Well, my older jig broke its first part - the small slotted round head screw on the bottom that holds the nock receiver in.

Any idea what size screw I need to get for a replacement?

Darndest thing - half the head of the screw just dropped off after I was screwing it back in after changing the nock receiver.

take it to the hardware and try screws till you find something that will work.

That would be a choice, but if I could avoid taking the jig into Home Depot I would prefer that route.

I would take the screw in except the screw head broke off and I am going to have to drill the screw out.

Take out the second screw and take that one to the hardware store if  you don't want to take the jig. I think you may have a problem getting the exact same screw type though.

I went and found my thread checker gauge and took apart 3 different Bitzenberger jigs. The thread is 8-32.You need to know, the first 1/2" of that screw is smooth and reduced in diameter. There are then 3 or 4 threads then a little bit of a smooth shank just below the head. You won't find it at Home Depot.

Thanks, JimB.

Have to wait until Monday and give Blitz a call.

Mine did the same thing. I dont crank that screw down tight, couldnt understand why it broke. I have enough of it I can grab it with a pair of pliers, but it is frustrating. BAD part is, I forget about it until I sit down to buld some arrows. And its usually evening, when i have no desire to run to the hardware store.
