Shot my first doe of the year yesterday evening at 6:45. She came sneaking in to the left of me and milled around for about 15 minutes before offering me a 20 yard shot. I picked my spot but she dropped and I spined her. Not the greatest of shots but effective NO TRACKING after dark. I was using my PSA Black widow that I have had for 4 years, its 57 @28" shooting a Gold Tip 3555 with a 100 Grain insert and 175 grain Wendsell Woodsman. This is my 5th deer with a recurve in 3 seasons. I drew into MCAAP the first week in November and I cannot wait.

No need to rub it in that you drew out for McAlester.  Congrats on the deer.

Our group drew Deer Creek, Oct. 28-30.  Wish it was later but glad to be going anyway.

Good going on the doe and good luck at McAAP.  My brother will be there again this year.  I think this is his 4th year for a quality pass. A pig the first year and does the rest.

Congrats and good luck at the AAP. I drew the weekend of the 12th of Nov but had this deployment come up. Bill Starry said I could have the same weekend next year.

That is righteous for sure.  Come back safe and get a big one next year!
