Muzzy Broadhead Add in the New TBM!!!!! I couldnt believe my eyes!!

I got the new TBM in the mail and was shocked to see Pat Reeve and his new girlfriend/wife(not shur which) in the add for Muzzy!?!?!?  Now Im not an expert on Pat or know if he shoots Trad but Iv never seen him shoot a stick and string.   Back in the day he was one of the few hunting personalitys that I realy liked, but once he reached CELEBRITY statise and found some eye candy to help him with his advertising, he totaly changed.    

Thoughts?

Uh, I have never even heard of Pat Reeve but I got no issues with eye candy   . Will look for it if my mailman ever gets done with my issue.

I hear Ya, and Myles Keller used to shoot a Black Widow ??? Can't help ya on this one ...  $$$$$  Maybe ??? Heck, didn't I read a few times that MUZZY was originaly designed for us "Trad" guy's ?? Who knows, Can't remember, gettin old ....

From what I understand Muzzy was orginally made by a Traditional Archer. I hope the Trad Industry never goes the way the Modern Industry has. All they care about is antlers and money! Im sorry but some of these archers would flame us because of what we consider a trophy animal. If its not P&Y to them they dont shoot. I thought we were deer hunting and not HORN hunting? Im not predijust I shoot does bucks piebalds brown ones tall ones small ones....Well you get he idea

I was a little suprised also, I guess that TBM would run it. An ad with Fred Eichler would seem more appropriate. Pat and Nicole are definately not using any traditional gear.

I think there were quite a few new ads this month that I hadn't seen before.  Gotta pay the bills I reckon.

By the way, Muzzy rules.  You can't go wrong with'm, but I do agree they could've had trad a shooter in the ad such as John Musacchia Jr. or that one guy..what's his name...Fred Eichler.  Maybe they're trying to appeal to the crossovers.

Muzzy was founded by a traditional shooter. His famil throws a traditional only shoot every year.
I haven't personally used my muzzy's since I switched to trad, but I have some phantoms I may put to use this year...

That ad seemed out of place to me too. Although there was nothing specific about the ad that said compounds other than the people in it.

Still think there could have been a better personality selection.

Yep, Reeves is big into crossbows now. Maybe TBM is stretching their ad policy to bring in additional revenue. Crossbows and general disrespect to make a dollar seems to be a theme for TV personalities lately.

Noticed the ad as well. Seemed fishy to me because it looks like they might've cropped the picture to edit out their "bows".

I had a similar argument when I read Primitive Archery magazine.  Just the title of the magazine tells you all.  Yet some of the ads were all about high tech items.  

The only answer to this contradiction is money.  The magazines are not going to refuse the money from an advertiser.  They should stick to the theme of the magazine IMO
