Hi all, Ive been doing great with PB but as of late I cant get my pics to enlarge to 640mpx. Ive tried everything including emailing the help line but they aren truly a help line. Do I need to upgrade to the pro package or am I doing something wrong?  Thanks,Izzy

This is the best I can do.

Go to the pic on the bucket, click on it, when it opens up put curser on the pic and a menu will drop down click on edit and then on resize, from there you can resize, make sure that keep proportions is checked and then use the slider to get the size you want.

Also on the upload screen, click on Custonize your uplaods options and check 640x480, every thing that you upload should come in at that size.

Ive never uploaded any thing smaller than 640x480 so not sure if it will increase size to their site but you would think it would, give it a try

Im not a photobucket guru but it should work.

Photobucket just recently "upgraded" their site. I lost my Pumpkin Pie color settings even though it's available as a custom setting. The setting won't hold.

As for the pixel size issue, I'm having no problems uploading a large photo from my computer to Photobucket, resizing it to 640 pixels, then downloading the 640 pixel size photo to Trad Gang.

Well i used your pic and gave it a try, looks like bucket will not increase a smaller pic during up load to 640X480 here is the result of the up load.

But you can increase size as stated in my post here is the result

The larger pics turn out blurry. I'll see if it is an issue with I photo where my pics are uploaded to the peter. Thanks.

There are two aspects with a digital pictures "size". First is PPI or Pixels per inch and then its actual dimensions. The more pixels per inch the larger the pictures file size. The more pixels a picture is made up of the sharper it will be also. The second aspect of a pictures size is its actual  measurement or width and height.

A computer screen can only display 72 ppi so If you want a picture to stay clear when enlarging you will have to take the picture in a high resolution (lots of pixels) then when you increase the photos actual dimensions (make it larger) you can decrease the pixels keeping the photo sharp. So moral of the story is if a picture starts at 72 ppi and you increase its size it will appear blurry.

I take all my pictures in high resolution and then I can do what I want with them.
