Ron, your book may just outsell the bible...LOL The good thing from a marketing standpoint is you probably can count on having at least  30,000 sold just to TG's members. A good chance after reading it buckskins and beards will be back in style for trad hunters.cant wait. The legacy of Ron LaCair

Considering Ron was around when the authors of the Bible were doing their writings.....  :scared:    ;)

Hey, as a side note, you've got to include a chapter on knives. I just got my B-day present last night from you (a LaClair neck knife) and it's a dandy. Thank you good buddy.  You were missed at the surprise party (how my wife kept a secret that 85 people showed up is beyond me-makes me nervous), but we were chatting about you and the camp pictures that my wife had enlarged and around the room to celebrate my 50 years. Two of the 6 pictures were from Shrewhaven, so that calculates into 1/3 of my best life memories came from there---that seems about right.

I hope you had a happy birthday buddy. I knew about the surprise party, I got an invitation but we had already made plans to camp at the GLLI. Happy 50th OLD Man..   :clapper:

I have wanted to meet Ron for a while now, but if I don't get to listen to his stories,  I sure would like to read them.

i have emailed Ron on and off and just want him to know how important i think his words and stories are to MANY people. i often hear echos of the past and have a feeling in the woods like i belong. its people like Ron and his writtings that i know i am not alone, that there are many throw backs to the old ways.  i know others hear the echo's but becouse things have changed so much everything is muffled and the link to the old days seems broken. Ron breathes new life in to the old ways with his stories, shooting and writting. it is this that i hope is never lost. one day he will be remembered for MANY things he has accomplished but what i hope never gets lost over time is all the people he inspired. after reading his Ghost of Armstrong Creek i sat down and wrote one about my favorite mountain, royal Mountain.  Ron is a great man with much to share and much yet to still do!

Ken,
I see you also have the knack for prose. If you decide to have your poem enlarged I would like a copy. Please autograph it also.
