...leaves that "textured" or bumpy type of finish on a bow? Im sure its something sprayed on? Ive seen several, like Killdeers bow in this thread, you can see it on the darker half ofthe riser:

Just wondering if Im crazy or is it really textured like that, and what is it?

Bodork

I use thunderbird epoxy. The final flat or satin coat is held further from the bow and 'misted' on.

GRINCH

I prefer a flat finish compared to a shiny one, less glare and reflection when hunting.

Believe it or not, that bow has a flat finish.

      THIS one is gloss!

Night Wing

I prefer a satin finish for bowhunting. No glare on a sunny day to spook game.

Thanks guys  :)  I was thinking it had to do with the spray technique, and misting sounds right,

Opening the nozzle a little will give you larger splotches, if you want that effect.
