Has anyone used the Arizona Archery EZ fletch?  If so what did you think?

It's what I use but don't do alot of fletching,I like it!

Had one , used it once and sold it . Did not like it , much prefer my Bitzenberger .

I owned three at one time, my opinion is that it is a pretty poor fletcher for a traditional archer. They work OK for straight fletch short vanes but I always had problems with any feather.

Rob DiStefano

imho, after testing two out, it's very very limiting and not at all feather friendly.

while there are legions of folks who swear by the bitz (and i was one, for sure), and after personally having and using a half dozen since the 60's, imo it's just too overpriced and in the long run not as durable as even the cheapest polycarb fletchers that won't rust/corrode.

imo, the best bang-for-the buck polycarb is still the grayling for $30, and outta the chute it'll do both three and four fletch as accurately as any bitz - i did the testing, lots and lots of testing.  i use one for four fletching carbons with 4.25" left offset 'naners.

next up is the bohning pro for $30, but it won't do four fletch - i use one for all my woodies, set with a heavy left wing helical and 5.25" burnt feathers.

as always, YMMV.

smokin feathers

i too use the grayling even for fletching all my shop arrows with feathers. I only use the ez fletch to fletch for my customers who are shooting short vanes.

I have two ez fletchers and they work well with plastic vanes, but not with feathers. I much prefer my BPE fletcher for feathers.

I tried one years ago and didn't like it. I have the BPE pro fletch and think its one of the best  for the bucks.

If you have trouble with feathers with an EZ, run some string wax in the feather slot. It will hold the feather in place. Hap

getting feathers in the slots can be tricky.  It has some good points too.  I guess it depends on how you do fletching.  I like it.

Wasn't worth the hassle with feathers.  Gave it away and bought a JoJan.

Thanks for the feedback.  Guess I have to pass on the EZ fletch.

I never ahd any luck using it with feathers but it worked great when I used vanes @ 20 years ago. I still have mine my son uses it.

Thank you guys. I was getting ready to buy a few of these. This thread was very helpful and saved me some money. Andrew
