Has anyone  ever found a good source for printable maps on-line. Just trying to get some print to study before I order some!    Thanks  ron w

Ron, I have a friend that made a pretty neat map on mytopo.com I think it was called.  You can center your map where you want it and it comes in the standard 7.5 minute topo format.  It even comes waterproofed and seemed pretty reasonably priced.  I haven't tried it yet but his turned out real nice.

See if your county (or the county of interest) has a public GIS mapping website. If so you will find a wealth of mapping info there.

I will second mytopo.com.  Once you go to their website click the link that says to customize or create your own.  Lots of options to make it YOUR map.  Once you have gone through the whole process of customizing it, the page that reviews your choices has a link that allows you to preview the map you have created.  I have not looked at maptrex yet;  I will have check that one out.

Ron,
You can zoom in and out and make topos, terrian maps, satellite pics and road maps.  It is pretty handy.
