In the next few weeks I am planning to order a new Great Northern bow, but am torn between a 62" Fireball and a 62" Bushbow. I am hoping to get some opinions on how these bows compare.  Do you have a favorite?  Is one a more forgiving / shootable than the other?  Any input is much appreciated.  Thanks!

I am picking up a new Bushbow on the weekend at Compton. I wanted a traditional longbow but I am sure the Fireball is also a fine bow. I suspect the Fireball shoots faster.  :bigsmyl:

I've shot them both.  The fireball is obviously the more modern design.  It was not as quiet as the bushbow but it was faster.  As far as the grips go they was not enough difference between the two to make much difference.  I think the fireball is cut to center and the bushbow is not.  I already have a critter gitter and my next bow will be a bushbow.  They are just plain cool and shoot well.  But either bow you pick is going to be nice.  Jerry is a helluva craftsman and nice guy!

I had a Fireball with the index grip, great grip and a sweet shooting bow.

I have the fireball and their traditional long bow. Without a doubt the FB is much faster. I can't really say there is a noise difference between the two bows. As hawk22 has said, Jerry is a fine craftsman. I think your choice will come down to whether you want the "D shape" or the semi of a hybrid. Both are top line! Jon

I've owned every model of gn available and for me the fireball is the best bow he makes. Its fast quiet and has zero handshock. The flatbow is a cool bow and very "cringe" traditional. Its not a speed demon and will thump a bit with a dacron string with a thousand twists. Jerry doesn't sell a bad bow. You can't go wrong with any ofc them but the fireball is one bow ill always have on my rack!

I am picking up my new Critter Getter today. I stopped in to Jerry's shop yesturday and he showed me his brand new model that he is unveiling at Compton's this weekend. The bow is called the Lil' Creep. It is basically a 58" Bushbow. It is a beauty with black glass limb vaneers and a rattle snake skin job. The skins really jump out and look sweet on top of the black glass. I pulled it back several times and I could not get it to stack. This bow is sweet and will be very affordable. The bow that Jerry made me is a 64" Critter Getter 56# @27 and I opted for the jack knife take down system. When I ordered this bow I spent 2 or 3 hours in Jerry's shop shooting all of his in stock bows and picked his brain about every bow and which would be the best for me, I'm glad that I did because I learned alot about GN bows and how Jerry designs and builds them. You will not find a bowyer out there that is a better craftsman or bowyer than Jerry and he is great to deal with. He spent time with me while I shot his bows and asked many questions. Jerry is top knotch, regardless of which bow you choose you won't be disappointed.

I've shot a Fireball, great shooting bow.  But I love my Critter Gitter.  Haven't shot a Bushbow (yet).

I have a Fireball and Critter Gitter Sp both with the jack knife. Love both bows Fireball is 52 lb at 28in and is sweet to shoot. But I like the CG because it will fold over and slide into my S. Tuff quiver with 8 arrows and away I go.
Been looking at the Bushbow but may wait now to see what the lil'Creep looks like.
Thanks for your time.
