Where does one buy leather for making quivers?

I'd like give leather working a try but I can't seem to find anywhere to buy leather.  I am most interested in making a back quiver and a side quiver.

Also what tools, type of setup does someone need to get started? Any recomended readings?

Any help is always welcomed!

Also pics of what you've put together would be awesome!

Second that, Tandy leather.  Another secret is to check out the goodwill stores for leather products that you can make into things.
