Question re Stu's calculator

When you are dealing with 100 grain brass inserts that are over 0.9 inches in length you must use the footing boxes in the calculator. What footing weight do you use, the full 100 grains or just the weight of the insert beyond 0.9 inches.

Old doesn't start until you hit three figures...and then it's negotiable

do not put any weight in the footing box.  You set footing to yes and put in the length as .05

There r 2 boxes under the footing. Click yes. Put in the measurement beyond the standard insert and add the full weight of the insert. The other box for insert weight should be 0 since your using the footing box. That is the way i read the directions. It would be pretty hard to calculate the weight of only part of the insert.
