Last year, I shot a very heavy 2117 aluminum arrow out of my 42# recurve and a very heavy 2114 aluminum arrow out of my 37# recurve.

This year, I'm switching gears and I'm going to a lighter arrow. I plan on shooting a 2212 aluminum arrow out of both recurves. Point weight should  be around 125-135 grains since I'm fine tuning both bows by adjusting their brace height.
Blacktail TD Recurve: 66", 42# @ 30". Arrow: 32", 2212. PW: 75 Grains. AW: 421 Grains. GPP: 10.02

:dunno:  guess we'll see when the time comes.

Most likely I will be using my 45 lb Big River.

520 (total weight) Grain Doug Fir Arrows 130 Stos up front. I have been playing back and forth with 55-60 spine and 50-55. Both seem to work well.

Not sure yet for turkey season.  But it will be difficult to say "no" to this blue stripe Super Kodiak I picked up over the winter.  This group is at about 21 yards.

The other 2 in the running for turkey season are a 1962 Grizzly and a Hill Country Wildcat.

Arrows with the SK are GT 3555s with 180gr up front.  If this is the set up will likely use a Ben Pearson Deadhead up front with a weighted adapter.

Dan, I feel so sorry for you having to work with equipment that is not ever properly broken in. Hope you can manage.

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Agreed Dave, that SilverFox is simply amazing Danny.

I am expecting a Black Canyon recurve in a month or so. Hopefully it will be my 2011 pick. If it's no good it will be 1/4 aways fault.
