bowfishing boats?

i need a boat to do some bowfishing out of in the esturays but i dont want a boat with a outboard maybe a canoe or kayak but i need to be able to stand up in it to shoot any ideas?

I use a Jon boat, some guys put pontoons on a canoe to stabilize it but for myself I prefer a flat bottom boat. Mine has a motor on it but you could just use oars, however it would be a good idea to at least have an electric trolling motor on it so you can cruse around slow looking for fish.

Canoe with an outrigger?  I've heard of some guys making the outrigger with large diameter PVC pipe with caps on the ends.

I used to use my regular flatbottom. Made a larger platform to stand on and definitely used an electric trolling motor. It's been years since I've done it but it's what got me out of the compounds and into trad archery.

I have a 16ft. lowe roughneck with 60/40 merc.
4 stroke jet. I am going to have line-x sprayed
on the inside to make clean-up a breeze.

Canoe with homemade outriggers. Tie them to the thwarts.

I've gotta canoe, and bought one of those chairs stuck in between 2-4' pontoons from Sport'smans Guide for $62.  Plan on hookin' the pontoons to a chunk of plywood for outriggers.  I wanna fix it so I can stand on top of the plywood for shootin'  Think it'll work pretty good.  For only a $62 investment, and my old canoe, I figure what the heck.  I'll give it a try anyway.

I've shot w/ a few guys that do the "pontoon" thing on a canoe.  Many diff methods to attached and adjust.  Have see them made of capped PVC, small barrels, etc.
My boat is a powered one...sorry.
20' Xpress w/ 4-400w MH lights, 90hp Yamaha and front steer 15hp Nissan kicker.

Do you have any woodworking skills and/or tools?

Here's a link to a factory made outrigger kit for canoes and kayaks.  The outriggers are adjustable and it looks to be reasonably priced.
