For a hundred bucks you can get a kit that looks like it'll do a couple of bows and a gunstock or two.  Google up mydipkit.com.  Also a couple of decent videos on youtube showing the process.  Has anyone tried it?

Steve O

JoeBuck has...he was not impressed.  Send it to BigJim.

Steve O has great memory!   I bought the kit , read it and read it. Long Story short........kit would be worth it if they gave you enough to do 2 bows because 1 bow is a learning curve. I could do second bow no problem. I emailed and called the company suggesting some tips they may be helpful for first time users from fresh eyes and asking to buy some extra material to finish my bow could they cut me a foot or so and give me......? Nope.........never offered to help me....I basically blew 110 bucks I think!  Screwed up a 120 qrt. Cooler that I eventually got cleaned.

Let somebody in the business to do it and spend the extra 30 bucks if your talking about doing your own bow.
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Sometimes it just does not pay to skimp..I have learned to many times.

We do this everyday with equipment that sells for over 10,000. I will tell you that we don't get it right everytime. Also climate plays a major role in how a product turns out. We are offering a dip for a complete bow for $115 which includes return shipping and insurance up to $400. extra insurance is available upon request and a small fee. We will have to raise this price by this summer, but it will stand until then.

Last year on the Wednesday BEFORE EASTER, I sent Big Jim this TallTines:

On the Tuesday FOLLOWING EASTER, this is what I got back:

I am sure his turnaround times vary, but I was VERY impressed with his work and service.

Raineman had a thread of a DIY camo job on a Bear mag takedown. Looked good.

WOW, don't leave that thing against a tree or worse yet on the ground.  Amazing camo job, and a great sounding deal.

Big Jim - What camo patterns do you offer?

BigJim

currently we have a second web site for the camo.
that site is camodip.net    click on the patterns link and you will see some that we keep on hand all the time. If you click on the liquid print link, there will be a whole host of patterns that are available and many in stock. we hope to combine the sites soon.

thanks, bigjim
