Dynamic spine calculator question

Using the stu miller calculator,,, measurment inches on the arrow lenght...  Is it from the BACK end of the nock to the tip or the INSIDE of the nock where the string rests?

Most guys I know measure from the total back of nock to the tip (not including a field point of coarse)

Didnt know what the calculator called for.

from the inside throat of the nock, (where the string sits), to the end of the arrow, where the back of the point begins.
