What to use on shooting glove?

Sno-seal works great.  I put it on and heat the glove with a hair dryer.

I have been using Montana pitch blend for years. You do need to apply it frequently though.

Hubards boot grease.  Been using it on boots since I was a young boy. Works on all leather.  Yes, I have used it on my shooting gloves also!

I use good old Vaseline. I accidentally wash and dried my glove in the washer and dyer recently, I just coated it real good with the Vaseline and it's good as new.

Baseball glove oil!    

No kidding... I've improvised and used it on some of my Dad's sheaths for his knife collection. Out of sight and out of mind, his leather sheaths were starting to dry out. It was a total state of emergency and we were out of mink oil, saddle soap, snow seal... you name it. It was all we could find in the house and after a long day of hunting we weren't about to go back out.

It worked great! Since then I've used it to break in shooting gloves, new shoes, treat rifle slings, pistol holsters, and yes... even baseball gloves.

Apply the oil to a rag and a work a little in at a time. I also like to put some on my hands and work the the leather from the inside out. Its amazing how much oil leather will soak up.

Use some toilet bowl wax (New, not used.  LOL)  If you doubt me, get some on your hands and try to wash it off.  Works great as a waterproofer on boots.

By the way, I really like JamesV's idea. I have problems pulling my arrows. Where I shoot 3d I get sticky residue on my carbon arrows from weathered 3d foam targets.

I clean my arrows with my finger nails between my shots and it gets annoying. The "gunk" builds up and the arrows almost become cemented into the targets.

You can try talcum powder on the tips and regular beeswax waterproofer like this for the rest.

I just like to keep the tips stiff and coated with talc since I think you can get the finger pads too soft if you rub in too much conditioner.

Just about any leather treatment or conditioner nearest at hand is what I use whenever I think to oil my glove. However, after it dries, I always powder the shooting fingers w/unscented powder. Like the way it releases real quick & slippery like.
