A trapper friend gave me a beautiful fox pelt a few months ago and its been in my basement ever since. I couldn't figure out what to do with it.

After searching through the custom quiver threads I figured I'd give a simple tube quiver a shot. I bought a piece of capped PVC, drilled a few holes for leather lacing on both ends, threaded it through the pelt (perfect fit) and rubber cemented the opening with a slight fold.

The tail hangs perfectly and I sinewed the legs together at the top so that they hang around the opening of the PVC pipe and quiet down the arrows even more. Leather in the bottom and glued around the top edges of the PVC keeps the arrows quiet.I cut an old cloth belt up to make the strap. Worked perfectly with the lace.

It holds 3 to 4, 31" 23/64 woods easily and is nice and quiet. It would probably hold 2 arrows tipped with 2-blade heads but this is primarily a rabbit quiver as I can maneuver it easily around my shoulders to accommodate thick brush.

It only cost me about $6.00 to make and 20 minutes to build.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

lol that was the most natural way to build the quiver as the pelts insides has a natural taper.

I just made this quiver from a Neet tube quiver with a Gray Fox pelt I got from the same trapper!
