Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
The quality and performance of a high-end custom bow with the rock solid toughness and PRICE of a working man's bow.

Good job! And that ZSR riser is right up my alley.

Just found this thread tonight, and was at kzoo earlier today. I think he had these risers there (which these look nice to me)but what caught my eye was the ilf model. Bill does great work and his riser with the sky longbowlimbs was a smooth, quiet shooter for sure. Nice to meet you today Bill.

I'm not a "deer" hunter, I'm a bow hunter that occasionally shoots a deer.

Great idea for a hunter line. Not everyone needs all the fancy woods in a hunting bow.  definitely something deadly in their look. Great on the pocket book also!

I shot some of these bows on Friday and was pretty impressed. Quick and really nice wood. Great folks as well.

Now thats what i'm talkin about. When I drive nails, i use a hammer, When I trim a horses foot, I use nippers, when I play bluegrass i use a mandolin (most time). They are the right TOOL for the job. Thats what a bow is to me. A tool to kill game or the 12 ring.

Bill, I think you might be on to something here my friend. Very nice. Don
When I drive nails I use an airgun, when I trim horses feet, I use a furrier. When I play bluegrass I use a radio.
I do agree with the right tool for the right job philosophy. I like plain bows. I don't feel so bad when I drop it in the bed of the truck or whack a briar out of the way with it 8-)

O.K.folks,We made it back from Kalamazoo. The truck is unloaded, phone calls returned, and emails answered.I thought this would be a good time to answer some of your questions on this thread.
You can get longbow limbs on a Hunter model riser. However it will effect the price. They are not offered at the $600 Hunter bow price.I only have the one longbow limb design. It is designed with carbon and foam in mind (at a minimum bamboo). Not actionwood.

You can get an Extreme riser or Standard riser in the Dymalux for the same price. They will be special order only.

We will be at Cloverdale and we are planning to have some of these bows along.

The S-Hunter(SXT)sets your hand back about an inch over the Z-Hunter(ZSR).It is esentially like gaining an inch of drawlength.Because you are pulling the limbs an inch farther then you would with the ZSR riser. This helps out with performance. However with the typical 28" drawlength it is not enough to become unstable to shoot.

The ILF risers were a big hit at Kalamazoo.Lots of guys shooting them.It was great to meet you Ken.Hopefully we will run into you again somewhere.

Thanks for all the intrest in these Hunter bows.I was a little unsure about doing this.To tell you the truth. Its not realy my thing. It was kinda hard for me to build these bows and not do something more to them. Not laminate anything in the risers to improve the looks, and not build our best perfroming limbs for these bows.On the other hand these bows are exactly where I got my  start.A bare bones nothing fancy, solid performing bow that was built for the hunt.I realy think they are going to take off.

What is the longest recurve you make in that model?
It's not the arrival, it's the journey.

No fear of that Mack.

62" is as long as I can go with the Hunter limbs. If you upgrade to the Evolution limbs I can go to a 64".Keep in mind though the Evolution limbs are an upgrade, and I cant use the action wood in them.

Well I like the price, they look good, but just went to the website and man your bows are pretty. I don't know what to think. Save the money and finally get a Zipper or hang on for the pretty one. I don't mind taking the pretty to the woods, you gotta like your gear. Even scuffed up, they still look pretty.
Keeping things fresh is a necessity in business though. Another option is always good.
