Hey all, I am working some new arrows with Stu's Spine Calculator (great tool by the way!) and I am trying to find out how many strands my bowstring has. I know what it is made of, just not the strand #. Is there a way to find out? or is it just an unknown I am going to have to live with.

I might be missing something, but when I did this same thing the other day, I just unstrung my bow so the string was loose....then I counted each strand. Came up with 14...which is pretty standard so I figured that was all there was to it.

I unstring the bow, then untwist the string in a two inch or so section somewhere between the silencers and serving. Simply count the number of individual strands at that point.
