A 40 degree April morning can and do quickly turn into 80-85 degree afternoon here in GA. Does anyone have experience with a lightweight ghillie or leafy suit that is comfortable to hunt in warm climates?

Take a look at the Bush in the Bag from Big Jim's Bow Company.  He is a sponser here.  It is a great hunting garment.  Light weight, and plenty of room for warm layers when it gets cold.  Great folks to deal with, as well.

I have a light weight ghillie suit that is real comfortable, but it will get warm in the turkey woods. I have not seen a ghillie thats not hot when the temps get up above 70 or so. This year I am going to use the coat only for turkey's as it hangs down past my waist.

Now then, take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me, Gen 27:3

I've got the light weight "stringy type" from Cabela's but even it will be warm when the temperature is in the 70's. I got a two piece but I would get the a "Long Hunter type (one piece) if I had it to do over again.

Like Glenn said, no matter how light your ghillie is, that dude will be hot when wearing in temps above 70 deg. I would recommend you get one that uses netting as its backing material as opposed to the kind that use some sort of bug suit material. Not only are the netting kind cooler but you can easily repair them.

I wear a Bass Pro leafy suit all summer long chasing hogs down here in South Fl. Just shorts and a T-shirt underneath. Its still hot but when its 92 at 5 am ain't much going to be cool. Plus this suit helps keep the skeeters off of you a bit.

The ASAT is mesh based and lets the air through and is also sized to fit over whatever clothes. Hot or cold temps are fine.

In the early season, I would wear the bush n a bag over my shorts and t shirt. It is very cool compared to my guille.
