what are your oppinions on the pros and cons of bow quivers that attach to the bow with limb bolts versus slide on or strap on ones

Apex Predator

I like my Eagles Flight bolt on.  It is very solid, but light in weight.

I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables!

JRY309

For a one piece longbow I like a strap-on like my BOA,easy on and off,no tools required.

bigbadjon

If you have a suitable riser, like Apex, I also prefer a bolt on quiver. I use a Kwikee Kwiver myself though.
Hoyt Tiburon 55#@28 64in
A&H ACS CX 61#@28in 68in (rip 8/3/14)

Lee Robinson .

If anyone is interested, I still have one new RH strap on GN longbow quiver for sale (considerably below retail).
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

Mike/Columbia Basin

I like my GN bolt on with the quick detatch system. It is pretty light and fits snug against the riser.

Piratkey

The best for me is the Great Northen quick mount, if you have no insert riser for bolt on quiver or if you use longbow, keep the quiver strap on the riser or at least very close.

Frank Warnke

I like the Great Northern line of quivers because the hood and gripper are attached to each other.  When I take the quiver off the bow, the arrows stay in the quiver.

If the bow has limb bolts that are a good distance apart so that the arrows don't whip much during recoil, I will use a limb bolt version.

If the bow has limb bolts that are close together (like on my Rasmussen take down flatbow) I will use a strap on version.

I don't like drilling inserts in to a bow, but I do have a one piece Rasmussen that came that way and the bolt on version works very well on it.

rraming

IMHO quivers which attach to the riser of the bow have less effect on the bow (none that I have found) - I would not let a quiver attach to the limbs or at the fades of a bow. Great Northern strap on says no effect on the bow at all (never tried their strap on) but I use there bolt on and like it.

straitera

I'd never bolt anything to my bow. Harder to resell IMO. I own a slide on leather Selway that is rock solid although I no longer use attached quivers.
Buddy Bell

Trad is 60% mental & about 40% mental.

Larry Altizer

I've used both types bolt on and the strap ons. as long as they are put on correctly the strap on quivers work fine.
