What carbon arrows do you all like the best?  I am shooting goldtips.  Would like to try the easton axis or beman bone collecters or classics but wondered how much helical you can get on the small diameter shafts.

Ron+dog

i like gold tips
as for the second part of your question im about to find out i just got a new blitzenburger for christmas and plan on doing alot of playin around

AD hammer heads, not too concerned with amount of helix.

For me I don't really have a favorite,I have many bows and shoot a lot of different carbons.I shoot Axis,Beman ICS and MFX,AD Trad and Trad Lite and Carbonwood 3000 and Vapor 2000 and Gold Tip's.I get plenty of helical on my Axis/MFX arrows with my Bitz and Jo Jan.Not as much as a larger diameter shaft but plenty. They are skinnier then regular size carbons but they are not like 1514 aluminum which I use a straight clamp on.

I've been using Easton ACC shafts for hunting and I really like them. So far I shot a Bear and a buck with them and have complete pass through on both. I am going to give Victory shafts a try the HV-3 series have the lowest weight to spine ratio of any shaft I've seen and should make a awsome EFOC setup.

You can't go wrong with Beman MFX Classics. Mine have plenty of helical in the feathers on them. Small diameter shafts require less fletching to stabilize them. I use 4" RW.

I've had really good luck with the Gold Tips.I like the fact that they take standard 5/16" components and they have been really tough.

MFX with 100 grain inserts, love them.

I would "play" with amount of helical, just to see which works the best.
I don't put as much on as I can get on, I belive there is a point of deminishing returns.
Archery is a family sport, enjoy it with your family.

I use Beman MFX Classics (600). I have plenty of helical on my 4" feathers. They are tough, nice looking, and a bit heavier than most other carbon arrows.  I just received some Gold Tip seconds. Maybe it was because they were seconds but the weight difference in three shafts (I only measured three) was 6 grains -- more than I expected (about the weight of 2, 4" feathers).

i use "cheap" carbons - beman ics bowhunter or gt hunter blems.  they all work just fine for bowhunting.

no helical wanted or needed. a degree offset works just fine with a 4" four fletch.

I use AD's.  Nitro Stingers (yellow writing) and Trad Lites.  Have been shooting AD's for some time.  I can set them up a bunch of different ways and get them to work. They tune easy and have every bit of performance that I am looking for. As to heli, the size of the tail end does not seem to create a problem for fletch.
