I have had many two piece bows .. from sleeves , connexion hinge to the newer carbon sleeve type like Big Jims ... I prefer the one piece but cannot tell you how much easier it is to fly with 2 piece bows !!!
If I didn't fly with archery tackle I'd probably just shoot one piece's.

The 2 piece bows are good for all the reasons  already mentioned above. The biggest is ease of travel.

I have only used the sleave and the bow bolt system. I have had zero problems with those two system's. They would seem to be pretty bomb proof as well.

I have both one piece and take downs.  I don't travel much so the only reason I take my three piece recurve apart is to swap limbs.

The one piece is normally not as heavy as a TD. When it comes to traveling, the TD is far and a away the easier to deal with. I personally prefer two piece long bows, over three piece long bows. Just seem more traditional to me. I own two Hill TD longbows. Craig uses the sleeve system and only offers his TD bows with a straight grip. I have one with the smaller grip and one with the larger. There is very little difference. I also own a three piece TD recurve(Massie Model "M"). If your a traveling man, which I think you are, the TD bows just make more sense. Besides that, I find them to be a little more stable then their one piece counter part. Take your time and determine what is best for you.

I use my Kempf 2 pc for whitetails and turkey but a one piece would also work for me. Best part of a 2 pc, I can shove it in my backquiver and have both hands free to drag out a deer or carry my bird. Pics below......

Have had both, prefer 1 piece. They seem to be a little bit lighter to carry around to me.

All three of these are 2pc, can't tell unless you unstring and pull them apart. I just like the look of a 0ne pc bow better so I want my takedown to look the same, This system Jim uses is rock solid and as quiet as anything I've shot,,,,,just my subjective opinion   :)

Here is another take down system used by Duane Jessop of Thunderhorn. Pretty cool, huh?

You have to look close to the see the seam between the two halves. Amazing craftsmanship.

Hi,
WoW who makes these bows? Do they just slot together or do you have to use a pin to keep them together?
Thanks for your time

Out of every 2 piece system used, Big Jim has got it goin' on!

I think he should sell a "Kit" with the materials used so others could try it out (hint-hint)

Jason, I don't know about a kit but the little guy might tell you his secret but then he'd have to kill ya .......
