I have a 21 inch Hoyt Excel with TT med. carbon/wood limbs.  I really like the bow and the limbs. I'm thinking about buying a Hoyt Dorado and have heard that the factory limbs are not that great.  Several fellas have modified TT ILF limbs and say that the bow is much improved.  My draw is 28.5 inches and I'm thinkin' about a 45 pound bow.  Any Dorado shooters out there care to chime in about the factory limbs? Stack, smoothness, pinch, noise?  Thanks.

I found my factory Dorado limbs more than satisfactory--excellent in my opinion--very fast for the weight I shoot.

I have a Dorado that has 2 sets of limbs, 40 and 50#.

Both sets shoot smoothly and do not seem to stack at my 29 inch draw.

A bit noisy but string silencers fixed that problem.

A good bow and one of my favorites.

Reaper,
I have a Dorado with factory limbs. 45# to be exact. It draws smooth and shoots hard. Noise does not really seem to be a problem with a few silencers(limbsavers and woolies on the string).

What is really nice about the stock Hoyt limbs is that they are really built( overbuilt to be exact)

You may see a difference in a limb that costs a couple hundred dollars, but is it worth it?

                    Good Shooting,
