I've shot compound (long time ago) and even set up bows for customers when I worked in a gun shop.  I got bored with compound and shot a Bear Patriot for the first time last weekend.  I live across the street from a range and would like to get my own bow.  I've found both of these bows for about the same money- which one would be the better buy given condition is equal?

I think you forgot to post the bows specs, but if the bows in question are a 60", 45# PSE Blackhawk and a 54", 50# Browning Nomad, I'd go with the Blackhawk because of your 29" draw length. Lower poundage and the longer bow will lessen finger pinch for one who is just getting into trad archery.

Ha...thanks Night Wing.  Sorry for the cross forum post.  I like to get as much input as I can from multiple sources.  I'll get to look at the blackhawk first hand this weekend.  If I can talk the guy down on price a bit, I will pick it up.
