DEATHMASTER

I helped a guy process his turkeys and we dunked in hot water to get the feathers to pull out.

I have the wing feathers from them but, They are all matted from the water.

I plan to wash them now but looking for a way to get them back full.

I have heard of steaming over kettle.

Is there any other "secret" way to make them nice again?

Thanks

snag

I've heard that steaming is the way to get them to go back to their original shape also. Give it try on one.

Steaming works. It also works great on fletching that has been squashed.

Tree Killer

Put some water in a kettle and get it boiling, then hold the feather by the stem with rest of the feather over the steam.

I done it with fletched arrows also, they pop back into place and after they dry just stroke the fletch a little and they're good as new.

Steam is the ticket.  Use a tea pot with a steam whistle....

Well steam looks like the way to go.

I have the primary RT and LT from 8 birds and was looking for quick and easy. Ha Ha

I guess slow and good is the way to go.

Thanks for the help guys.
