Lucky me, I planned most of next week off months ago. Looks like gale warnings and rain coming for the upper Great Lakes region.

Stay away from the Edmund Fitzgerald, and you should be fine.   :bigsmyl:
If you don't like cops, next time you need help, call Al Sharpton

I`m with ya brother.

The same horizontal rain that will be hitting you in the face will be getting me too!

Mojostick

Or treestands LOL. Luckliy I hunt on the ground. Wed looks the worst in my area, with possible gusts in the mid 40 mph's. If a deer actually presents a shot, I don't have to worry about it hearing me. LOL

I love Gordon Lightfoot and Hate rain!
Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a
difference in the world, but the Marines don't have that problem.

I think the horizontal rain is tuesday and thursday.

My feathers are infused with Hairline Watershed, so they be the only thing that stays dry.

im a lighthead too from the 70s  deer still fed in bad weather its just no fun to be out in it
if a man is alone in the woods and no woman can hear him is still wrong?

From weather.com on the coming Lake Michigan waves...

THE HIGHEST SIGNIFICANT WAVES WILL BE UP TO 20 FT. THERE WILL BE OCCASIONAL WAVES UP TO 30 FT.

That there is ocean like!

Try running a tugboat in that kind of weather.  They are saying that the low could be the lowest pressure ever recorded in Chicago.  If you don't need to be out in the blow don't go.

Mojostick

But that's when the big ones come out!   :D

"They are saying that the low could be the lowest pressure ever recorded in Chicago"

Some how this doesn't suprise me

My desire for anything extreme wonders what kind of ride we'd get in a tree stand on a day like this.   :saywhat:
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

I'm actually going out for the afternoon, up by Big Rapids. The main front with the violent storms just blew thru the Rockford area.

Frankly, by watching all the TV coverage, it looks like you guys got the rough stuff down by Hastings.

It's nice here, for now. First wave of rain is over and maybe 15mph winds.

It looks like around 5pm it's going to be 20-25mph and some rain.

I'll be hunting on the ground.

The big winds are still coming later tonight and tomorrow.

SS Snuffer

We are gettin 40 to 50 mph right now with rain. Think I'll can some venision tonight!
