Probably not many of you here know Eric personally, but he's well-known in these parts at archery tournaments. He's generally one of the top shooters in the selfbow class, plus he makes one of the finest selfbows you'll ever care to shoot. His specialty (at least one of them) is bamboo-backed osage.

Eric is a super nice fellow, always has a smile on his face and a good word. His wife Glenda is a ray of sunshine. They are both a big asset to the archery community.

Eric recently decided to quit making bows to sell, but he'll still make them for charity. He's supplied the STA with a bow for our "Catch-A-Dream" foundation fund-raiser, and his bows always get a lot of attention.

Anyhow...for some reason, Eric made a bow for me. I've been drooling over his work for years, kept planning to buy one, but just never could get around to it--not enough time, or money. I got the bow today, and honestly I wouldn't be afraid to take it hunting this afternoon. It's marked 60@30, and my 75/80# POC arrows fly like darts from it--and they go where they are supposed to, at least out to 25-30 yds. Super sweet draw, fast, quiet, very little shock--it out-shoots the majority of laminated bows I've shot.

If you ever get a chance to own one, jump on it. They shoot as good as they look--and they look beautiful--Eric is very much an artist.  I am tickled pink with mine--plan to hunt with it soon.

Thanks a million Eric!

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

LBR, do you have pics of the bow. lucky you to have such a special bow!
Cheers

Great to hear Chad - I've seen some photos of Eric with his bow and looks pretty neat. That's a big statement as fond as you are of that Crusador.

LBR

I just got it this afternoon, and was too busy shooting to take pics.  I'll try to get some decent ones tomorrow, but someone will have to post them for me (I don't know how).

I still love my Crusader, but this bow is special.  It would be special even if it wasn't such a shooter, but the fact that it looks and shoots like a dream is just icing on the cake!

Congrats Chad. Looking forward to the photos.
I got 66" BBO 57# @ 28" about 4 or 5 years ago from ERIC. It's a great bow!

Thanks for the kind words Chad.

Chad and I have been friends for a while, met at a tournament many years ago and shot together a bunch of times since.

The truth is Chad has has really gone all out helping people over the years so I thought I would make him a "thank you" bow.

He is a special guy and deserves a little recognition for his generosity.

I completed a trade with Eric not long ago, and was extremely pleased with the transaction.  He was a most generous gentleman, so it's not surprising that he is giving more than his share.
