Archery season begins tomorrow  - Saturday, Sept. 4 in KY.  It was 93 degrees on Thursday and tomorrow a high of 73 is forecast.  It will be in the low 50's when I get to the stand.  Life is good!

Who else will be heading out in the morning?

It is gonna be a great morning no matter what, record hot summer, cool, low humidity morning, nothing can go wrong even if we dont see a deer or turkey! When I left the shop my Quinn was rattlin in the rack, rarin to go!

I usually wait a bit before I go. My boys and I are gonna shoot the last 3D tourney of the year tomorrow morning with our recurves.

I wish all of my KY brothers well tomorrow and please keep safe.

Now... you should be in bed right now! Dreaming of that big boy!    Saw a couple of rubs today while walking the woods with my son here in Michigan. Needless to say, that'll geek any of us up! Good luck Jay!

My son and I hunted this morning. My son saw two deer and killed one of the Does. 12-yard shot it went 40 yards.

I saw no deer this AM.

Would have loved to be in a stand today. 50 degrees at sunrise maybe in the 40's tomorrow morning. We can't start til the 20th.

Good Luck to everyone. I'm sure Kentucky TJ will be posting pics. of another giant by the end of the week.

Sounds like a good morning Bowwild.  I Saw 6 doe, 1spike, 11 turkey and a red fox. The spike was the only one I had in bow range.  I'm fighting a cold so I was holding back sneezes, coughs and wiping my nose constantly.  Three of the deer were together and busted me.  I hate when that happens.

It's good that the weather has cooled off some there. The last time that I hunted Kentucky on opening day (about 4 yrs ago) it was 93 degrees. I can't hunt in that weather. Sweat was dripping off my chin, and glasses were fogging...and that's before seeing a nice buck.

Good luck to you all and wish I were with you.

Well, I said I usually wait awhile before I start deer hunting since it starts so early in September. But, since I've read the posts on here and it's gonna be so cool in the morning, I just went to the KDFWR website and bought my deer permit so I will be going in the morning! So much for waiting 'til later like I tend to do every year.
