Hey guys. I am wondreing if any of you have experience with the Magnus screw in BH's?  They come in 100 and 125gr.

I have some 125's and they look awful thin and puny.
Nothing near as strong looking as the Magnus I and II glue ons.

Has anyone killed anything with them? How do they hold up?

Thanks

Robert..I have been using the vented ones for a few years now and have had great luck with them.I have  a certain sharpening ritual i use and they come out scary sharp and fly great.I only draw @ 47 or so lbs on an average, depends if I can pick one bow and stick to it.Good luck

I have the Magnus two blade vented and I use glue on's and they are not weak in any way shape or form. They fly great and wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one. They sharpen up good to.

I've used the screw in 100 grain Stinger for a few years now also and have taken many of our Kentucky deer with them with no failures. Fantastic heads with a lifetime warranty.

Danny, are the ones you use the Stingers?

BTW, you gonna be at that feast in a couple of weeks?  If you are, please bring some bows for me to fondle!

i use the stingers a lot manly cause they are made down the street from me used them for years and they are a lot tuffer than they look if seen them purosely shot in to cinder blocks and tho a lil dinged up they reshot them and checked the fural and every thing they hold up

I have shot the 100 screw in, and they are good heads that fly great. However, they are a little on the light side.

I love them.  Going to use them on an elk hunt in a couple weeks in New Mexico.  I have killed deer and turkey with them so far and they fly great and penetrate well.

Used the 125s for many years when i was shooting wheels, killed lots of deer and blasted through lots of shoulders.  Now just imagine what it could do shooting a heavy trad arrow!! They are awesome though heads.

hmmm, I have the 125 gr screw on and I can flex the blade with my fingers.

Thanks for the replys guys, but I think most of you have confused the screw ons I'm talking about with the stingers and the Magnus II glue ons.?

Screw ons only come in 100gr vented and 125gr solid or vented 125gr 4 blade.

The blades on these are thinner than most replacement blade broadheads I have seen.

I use the Magnus 125 gr solid 2 blade screw on that come in a 6 pk.  Shot 3 deer and have had 3 pass throughs with them so far.  No problem with them for me.

We sell the whole line up and haven't had any negative reports on any of them, even the 100 gr 2 blade which is quite popular with the lighter bow set.

I believe the 140 gr 2 blade is the strongest of the bunch, it's the 110 grain solid 5/16" head, factory mounted on a solid 30 grain 5/16" 7075 aluminum adapter.

I'll add, for some reason Magnus does not put their "Diamond Tip" on these heads, so I suggest taking the needle point off them for maximum strength.

i have shot the 125 grain screwins for a couple of years now and never had but one break off at the tip. sent it back with a note and in two weeks had a replacement. cannot beat the customer service that is one of the main things i buy them for.

stickbowhafe

I have had nothing but great results shooting magnus stingers for the last few years.

Gen273

I still say the Magnus Screw in is tough to beat for the money.
