I thought this was pretty cool.  I came across this skull in a little creek on the remote island of Sitkinak, Alaska.  I believe it to be that of a mammoth (mastadon?). Just for scale the eye socket was a little larger than the top of a soda can.  I know the area held many mammoths as I found mammoth ivory as well. Not here but on a hunt on the Yukon River. Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool.
