Aren't those TX Sweat pix?  Is it the same place Curtis hunts?

I hunted that ranch a couple years ago.  Good population of Javies and hogs at that time.  Pricing seems a bit high and I've never seen anyone charge trophy fees on Javies or limit to one.

Just my opinion.

How much is an out of state license?

I usually get license # 107 is for a full year (Aug - Aug) for everything except deer and turkey (# 105 adds turkey and deer and costs $315). Then again the #157 is good for 5 days and costs only $48 - a real bargain in non resident licensing!

Yes that is a sweet deal for an out of stater

Yep, don't get me wrong.  It's your business and you can price it any way you like.  The big events you are quoting are charged at premium rates.  Normal day lease rates are more along the line of $100-$125 per day for hogs and javies.

I hunted this same property with Curtis for $500/week, unlimited hogs, two javies and had a house to stay in.

I'm sure you will not have any trouble booking up as they are great properties.

Pendernal (Sponsor) = $750 for 5 days, 3 hogs 1 javelina limit.

Solana Ranch (Sponsor) Friday noon to Sunday noon hog hunt $450 - includes lodging and food.

7th Age (Sponsor) hog hunts $625/ 5 day.

I hope to be involved in guiding, camp management, and other ways with this project of John's, so I am a little biased. However, it looks like pricing is in line with what others are asking. I have shared camp with Doc and expect this operation will be above average in every way.

I live in Iowa and am amazed that folks will wait 3 years of preference points and pay $500 for a non resident deer tag - then pay for leased or outfitted operation on top of that. Because I am from here it seems too high. If I lived in Texas, I bet it would be the same looking at non residents paying to hunt there.

so there is NO mud here it is all in N. Texas ? Heck if you can guarantee that it's worth the price.

Doc,

Just checked out your website - looks nice.  I was looking at the pictures of the Texas Hog\\Javelina hunts and have a couple of questions.  I hunted hog\\javelina with Curtis of 7th Age Bowhunting earlier this year (best hunt yet) and those pictures look familiar.  Are you booking the same ranches Curtis booked?  Is Curtis still booking these ranches too?

Thanks,
Mark
