Is the shriver flame crester still being made? Does it work as good as the picture in the add would have you believe? Nice crisp images? Ive meant to get one of these for a while now but never did. Hope I didnt miss my chance.

I bought a set used but have not used them yet.I'd be interested to hear how they work too.

If you are talking about the one you use with a small propane torch you have to really watch the heat.  It is easy to get it to hot and burn the arrow where the template touchs the shaft. They say to have  a wet rag to cool the template after each burn. A lot depends on how you have the torch adjusted also. Hope this helps.

I've got a post on here somewhere showing some arrows I've done with a flame crester. It's all I use to decorate my arrows. Like anything, it takes practice to be able consistently burn a nice image. I've been using my set for 10 years now.

I just bought one from a fellow TGer. It should be here any day. Can't wait to try it.

Shriver Archery usually has an ad in TBM. There's a phone number on the ad. The guy lives in Greenwood, MO if I remember correctly.

Here is the number for Shiver Archery (816)554-1255.
