Shooting 50-55 lb. R/D longbows, I would like to end up with 600+ grain arrows. I draw 27" would probably cut the shafts to 28" and like 160 grain broadheads. Do I need the 35-55 or the 55-70 lb. shafts? Never used carbons before so know almost nothing about them. Thanks, Bob

Hammerhead would be a bit stiff for you and your bow setup , I would recommend the trad lite and load up the front with brass adapter and 160 grain point, this would work much better for you

Thanks Ted, would the Hammerhead lite be too stiff with the brass adapter and 160 grain point?

Anyone else shoot the hammerheads. Either the lite of the regular ones?

I have been testing out some new shafts from Arrow Dynamic's.  They have a heavier wt and are spined for lower wt bows.  I have been shooting them from 44 lb bows up to 53.  The shafts spine at .450 and have wts of 480 grns and 430 grns.  This is a bare shaft wt without an insert.

To answer you question, I have used the Hammerhead Lites in the same wt bows,  they had both standard and brass inserts.  If you have any questions give me a call on my cell phone.  You can find the number listed on my website.

In answer to your question  Canada Bowyer , the Hammerhead lite would work fine if you bow was cut closer to center as most are now , load up the front like you want to , I have one guy that has us make them with 100 gr brass adapter , 100gr steel adapter and a 160 gr. broadhead and they fly great out of that weight bow that is 1/8" off center.
I feel they would fly great at the brass and 160 as well if the bow was not to far offset.
