I have a few bows, like most of you do. There is one bow that is my favorite. Once in awhile I think about using one of the other bows but I feel like I am doing something wrong, if I don't use my favorite bow. It just feels wrong not to take the one I like the best. Do any of you ever feel like that? Its like I am leaving a friend behind if I don't take it.

To prevent this problem: at the moment I just have ONE bow! However, I am on the list for a custom, probably to be delivered in august.
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that string! [/i]

I have two preditors. One is 55# and the other is 57#. That way if I make a set of arrows and I can't tweak one bow to shoot them well, maybe I can get them to shoot good out of the other. Both bows are my friends and they seem to be buddies as well. I usually take them both if I go on far away trips.

That is probably why I ordered a second set of limbs for my bow.  If I want or need a heavier bow it still feels the same.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Thats the way I am with my Cocobola Bama. I bought that one stock from the bowyer and had my Bocote one custom built to my specs, which are loosely based on the first one with a few additions.

I still shoot that first one almost exclusively, it has shot everything I've ever harvested and it is real hard for me to leave it in the case.

My Zona Custom T/D Recurve w/ Purple Heart, Kingswood & Bacote is my closest friend, so much so that I told Bill to make me another in Hardwoods camo with the same exact specks so I can have a brother to take along too.

I do have others but it seems that I tend to shoot my Zona the best.

I must be an oddball. All of mine get used although 3 or 4 more frequently than the others.
My best friend is an old 61 RWH hanging on the  living room wall directly above the old leather couch. They don't seem to mind as long as I look that direction and acknowledge thier existence.
