Upstate NY bow fishing

I would like to try bow fishing for the first time and  was hoping that there was someone in my neck of the woods (Saratoga Springs) with a good deal of experience and willing to show me some 'how to' tips.

Dozer,

I would love to go out with you. I have killed Thousands of carp but not with trad gear.  I am looking for a really cheap recurve for this season. The two I had in mind both sold moments before I was able to pick them up.

Here is the deal, I'm kinda new to the area and I dont know where to go around here so if you know of some areas, we can take my boat.

Also For tips or maybe a ride a londg check with Indianabowman.  Terry is a top notch guy and has a lot of experience. He lives about 45 minutes south of you.

There was a bowfishing tournament at Saratoga Lake the past few years, so you know there's carp there. I heard the guy that ran it canceled for this year though. Also Lake Champlain is loaded with carp. Lots of gar too, but they don't let you NYer's shoot 'em.     The very southern end, South Bay, is a prime area.
