broadhead allignment

if i am shooting a 2 blade broadhead like the Zwickey delta's do they need to be turned a certin way...alligned a certin way.. like horizontal or vertical of the end of my arrow??

im shooting  3 4 inch sheild feathers.. does that make a differ??

I haven't seen a difference in flight myself but like to have mine horizontal. I guess my eyes see my arrows as being longer when I mount them vetical and I'll hit low compared to field points until I shoot them for a few shots.
I don't consciously gap but I guess I'm stiil seeing the arrow as longer. It doesn't seem to affect me if I mount them horizontaly.

I mount mine diagonally, I believe this was suggested by Byron Ferguson.

As long as your bow is well tuned, you can align them however you want.  Just make sure they spin true.

Some archers align them however they happen to spin true first, some like them horizontal so they don't see the head, some like them vertical so they can see the head, you get the idea, it all works.

I don't think it makes a bit of difference - if your arrows are tuned properly for your bow. I shoot mine horizontal but it is just a preference thing. I like having the same sight picture every time. If your arrow is not tuned good there is no telling what differnt BH positions could make, depending on how far off tuned you are.

I have one bow that seems to perform better with them vertical.  All my other bows it doesn't make a difference.  I prefer horizontal though.  It's mostly preference.

If the head is mounted properly I've never seen ANY difference in performance..  Mount them whichever way works best for you.  I have always mounted mine in line (the same angle) with my cock feather.  When canting the bow to shoot the broadhead "disappears" in my sight picture....

I do horizontal but Fred Bear did vertical.  Fred was in the business of selling broadheads so the profile of the razorhead became famous in pictures.

I was just shooting broadheads for the first time last night out of my bow - was a foot low @20 and couldn't figure it out (they were flying true according to the fella looking over my shoulder). . . .this might explain it.

I am hoping it doesn't matter because I use screw on and they just stop where they stop... or am I wrong?

If you are using screw on I would suggest aligning them before you glue your insert. I used to shoot aluminum and would just heat it up a bit and align them how I wanted them. You could that depending on what type of glue you use and I am not real sure about heating carbons.

I use wood and Hill BH I like them vertical and I feel it's a matter of looks and preference.

I shot them a few different ways and saw no difference so I just went with horizontal and had them all be the same it worked well for me.

Have shot them both ways I see no difference but I like them vertical so I dont see them.
