Anybody have any experience with the Martin Dreamcatcher bows??

string bean

I had one for a few years then wound up selling it cause I was giving up the recurve never to try traditional again.  HA!!  Look where I'm at!! wishin' I had it back.
It's not about the kill but the experience.

Really, really good quality factory made bow. They are hand made in the factory. The older ones are all solid exotic woods and the newer ones are laminated with some exotic wood. Really fast and smooth, however the bows are rated in 5# increments. I had one marked 45#, but actually measured 49#. When you find one have the seller place it on a scale to see what the exact poundage is.

Damon Howatt now says they can make a custom bow on any of their trad bow models so if you wanted a 52# @ 27" Dreamcatcher, they can do that. DH says so on their home web page.

One of the best recurves I have owned.

I have #13 of the first production Dreamcatcher bows. The bow shoots very well and I would not part with it. You can't go wrong with a Dreamcatcher in IMHO.

My first Trad Bow was a Martin Dreamcatcher... Still wish I had that one.

Blackstick

I just bought one last week. Ten years old and looks like new. I was unimpressed at first because it was noisy and hand shocky, but I have added an inch to the brace height and added two pair of Black Widow spider silencers. Sweet! I have already lost three nocks. It is rated at 50#, but feels heavier than that. Guess I'll have to scale it when I get a chance.

Track

The wife had one. A real nice shooting bow.

I have a "Newer" 60" Super Diablo...[ but there not making them any more either]. It came off of the same press and has the same profile but with a different lamination look to the riser.  Shoots great, a good addition to anyones collection!

Rivals or surpasses many "customs." I sold mine then bought it back. Now it's on loan. I just wanted to have it as it was my first bow.

Very nice bow with great customer service. Mine was replaced, no questions asked, when I had a problem. As has been mentioned, scale the bow before you buy.
