Hi guys i am going on a elk hunt by horse back & was wondering if any body makes a nice bow sling what to keep both hands on the rains. Thank you for any help & have a nice day.

Steve Catts - finest leather work you will see, and great pricing, and an all around good guy...

I think he has them on his web page now.  They were new at Denton last year.

I might be able to get a picture up, but not right now.

Frank.  If I am interpreting your question well . . .I myself have never done that, but from what I have read of those that have.. .  you may want to really think twice about tying your bow (and quiver ?) to your body while riding a horse in the back country.

Didn't Nathan Andersohn have a recent article in Trad Bow magazine that spoke a bit about this ?

FTH,

If you and I weren't on the opposite corners of this state, I'd have mine in your hands to try....

Frank,
If you are going out with an outfitter I would strongly recommend talking with him.  Even just riding trails up to a base camp from where you will hunt can be an adventure with horses.  After many years and having or seeing mishaps I carry a 3 piece longbow and arrows in PVC tubes.
