Brace height for my Bear?

Just wondering what the proper brace height should be for my old Bear Grizzly? I've been going with about 8.5, but sometimes after shooting for a few hours in the sun it'll be down to 8". I didn't really notice any difference while shooting, but I was gopher shooting so range varied and I couldn't see groups. I know the string is good quality, made by one of the members here, so I
m wondering if this stretch is normal? The bow is a mid 60's, so no FF I believe. Anything I can do,or just take a tape with me and measure?

dacron stretches like a rubberband for a while so just keep a eye on your brace height and twist up as needed. I shoot mine around 8" too.

Trick for always having a tape measure with you for checking brace height....... Crest your arrows with a band at the brace height for that bow. When you have a arrow on the string if the band lines up with the deepest part of the grip, walla... your brace height is correct.

Great idea, I've never thought of that. I'll get right on it.
