I am wondering what is the better axe in anyones opinion.I am looking at either the young campers axe from snow and neally or the small hunting axe by wetterling. What holds a better edge in your findings if any, they are both around the same price.I am using it for camp chores and to use in my pack for woods use. Thanks for any info.

I own the Wetterlings and love it.  Holds an edge. Easy to sharpen.  It can handle all your camp/hunting chores.  By the way, the man who owns Gransfors also owns Wetterlings.  He's known as the "Fanatic Axe-Man."

I've heard nothing but excellence about Gransfors products. You certainly get what you pay for from them!

Well I've had a Snow and Nealy Hudson Bay axe for years, it has served me well.  Recently got a wetterlings hunters axe in trade, haven't used it yet but will later this spring, I like the geometery of the Snow and Nealy better but well see how they compare.   Also have the Gransfors woodcarvers hatchet and adz and they are great tools.  Not to mention the Vector Hawk I got in partial trade and cash in the fall and haven't gotten much use out of it this past winter.  Too many sharp tools not enough time for proper use and testing....I fequently hear "your bringing all that stuff for a weekend"  when loading up to go to the inlaws cabin place....
